o Yes we do - Our Gift Vouchers are available in both E-Mail and Postal versions..


• Pierre Hourlier Wines are wine Importers. How does that benefit me?

o Great question. There are many unavoidable costs associated with selling wine. One of the largest are the mark-up costs that many wine sellers have to put on their products due to themselves having had to purchase the wine from a wine wholesaler who has already imported the wine for sale and taken on the additional costs. We directly source, taste and import the wines ourselves having established strong relationships with the French vineyards. More than two thirds of our wines are exclusive to Pierre Hourlier Wines. We have no middle chain, wholesalers or UK agents in between you and the beautiful French vineyards we have directly sourced from, therefore we can bring you exceptional wines, hand selected by us, to you at an exceptional value.


• Do you have any foreign language speakers among your staff?

Our owners are French themselves and so you will no doubt find more than one person who speaks French should you prefer.


• Are there any wines available to taste at the store?

o There often are wines available to try however we cannot ensure this. Please contact us to see what we have available. You may be interested in our Wine Tasting events or our Wine Tours around France. Please refer to our events page for more information.


• What should I do if the wine I purchase is corked or out of condition?

o Please contact us immediately and we shall arrange a full refund. For more information please visit our Returns/Refunds page


• Do you offer a wine storage service?

o Whilst we operate an In Bond Warehouse for ourselves, we are yet to extend this to our buyers. This is something we are looking to change and we should be up and running in the near future.


• Do you offer En Primeur services?

o Unfortunately, we do not provide En Primeur services.  


• How many different wines do you stock?

o We offer wines from almost every region of France. Please check out our Wines by Region page for a list of all the regions we cover.


• What are your Premises opening hours?

o Our usual Opening Hours are Monday-Thursday: 10:00-16:30, Friday-Saturday: 10:00-17:00. Sunday: 12:00-16:00.


• Do you only sell French Produce?

o We are French Wine importers who have chosen to predominantly deal with exclusively smaller French wine growers known for their skills established over generations. Owners Pierre Hourlier & Jean-Pierre Hourlier have established strong and valued relationships with hardworking, family run vineyards for over 45 years. The only exception to this is our fantastic Niepoort Port range which is from Portugal. Niepoort ports were one of our very first suppliers in 1975 and we have continued this to date due to their fantastic quality.

• Where can I get a copy of your full wine list?

o All our wines are updated daily online however a hard copy is printed yearly. To obtain the latest annual addition, please contact us.


• What packaging do you use-do you care about the environment?

o We are committed to improving our impact on the environment whilst ensuring your product arrives in perfect condition - click to see a list of our packaging options and our sustainability policy.


• What is your returns/exchange/refund policy?

o At Pierre Hourlier Wines we always aim to provide an excellent service. We want you to feel safe in the knowledge that shopping with us is simple. If you are not 100% happy, we will use our best endeavours to put it right.

If you wish to return or replace your purchased wine for whatever reason, please return the items in merchantable condition within a month of purchase. We may ask for proof of purchase. Please visit our Returns/Exchange/Refund page for more information.


• I placed my order, but when will it be received?

o We try to dispatch your order the same or next working day of placing your order. It should arrive within 4-5 working days however it's often sooner. Please visit our Shipping & Delivery page for more information on your delivery options.


• Will there be Customs Charges on my bulk order?

o If shipping outside of the EU, your order is likely to be subject to Customs duty and taxes as it arrives in the destination country. You will be contacted directly by customs for this payment. Unfortunately we can not advise on how much the charges will be. Please contact your local customs office or government website for advice before ordering.


• I want a special wine but I need help!

o At Pierre Hourlier Wines, we love to share wine knowledge with those wanting to know more or needing help to pick that something special. We always have an expert on hand and should you need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to discuss your needs further.


• I want to build up my cellar collection but I need some advice!

o At Pierre Hourlier Wines, we love to share wine knowledge with those wanting to know more or need some selection advice on which of our superb wines are best to age. We always have an expert on hand and should you need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to discuss your needs further.

• Do you offer Saturday delivery options?

 Specific date delivery is available, please notify us upon ordering and if you would like a Saturday delivery, we shall factor that in for you. 

 
• Is it possible to track my delivery?

We offer a tracking system for deliveries which can be easily viewed on all mobile devices. The tracking details will be made available to you upon the processing of your order. In addition, it is recommended that you contact us or leave us with delivery instructions (the function is available on the cart page.)


• My order is a gift- can I leave a gift message?

Yes of course. We also have gift wrapping options. Please contact us directly and we will be happy to assist.
